Vidyashankar, Former Principal Secretary to Government, Dept. of IT, BT and S&T I am happy to learn that RiiiT would be setting up an 'IT Finishing School' at Mysore, with an intake of about 5,000 students. Such an 'IT Finishing School' was a long felt need of the IT Industry. Karnataka State, home to over 1,700 IT Companies, would require an annual supply of about 50,000 graduates, both in the engineering and non-engineering streams, to meet the increasing job creations in the IT sector. I hope that RiiiT would be a successful role model, meeting the requirements of skilled IT manpower of the IT sector. I take this opportunity of wishing RIIIT, Mysore, the very best in its endeavors, to train and increase the availability of skilled manpower for the IT Industry.
